Portfolio > Figurative 2010, 2011

The reason I decided to make the drawings rotate was not for simple novelty, no sir. When you're looking at them from the position that I've chosen for their "home" composition position, one's brain tends to mix up whether there are one or two people being depicted in a somewhat intimate manner. when we see the figure as it was drawn, that is, in a way that our brains see the position as natural (gravity helps alot), it is clear that the figure is indeed reclining on a reflective surface. The mechanism itself is very cool. It actually locks at 90 degree intervals with neodymium magnets and spins on a high speed bearing so there is no friction...super smooth.
